The Mane Monogram is pleased to introduce you to Hailey Kiser, of Lancaster, South Carolina, as one of our brand ambassadors.  Hailey used to exercise Libby when Libby lived in Waxhaw, North Carolina.  At the time, I was unable to ride due to the distance, but Hailey came through for me!

Hailey is an accomplished rider, and I am thrilled that Hailey (and Marley) has joined the team and look forward to watching her grow!

We had a chance to sit down with Hailey and ask her a few questions.  Here is what she shared:

TMM: How old are you?
Hailey: 23

TMM: Where are you employed?
Hailey: I am employed at Thunder Bay Riding Academy.  I am also self-employed selling tack.

TMM: What got you interested in riding?
Hailey: I was not good at sports and I had terrible coordination.  It was recommended to me by my doctors to ride, and I had friends and family who rode and I wanted to learn as well.  I began equestrian vaulting before I started riding at Shea Rose Farm in Waxhaw, North Carolina.

TMM: How long have you been riding?
Hailey: 17 years

TMM: What discipline(s) do you participate in?
Hailey: I have ridden and competed in hunter/jumpers, eventing, and some western events such as barrel racing and pole bending.  I have also competed with the United States Pony Club in show jumping and eventing rallies.

TMM: Do you own/lease any horses?
Hailey: Yes, I have a 2007 OTTB named One Love (aka Marley).

TMM: What is your favorite thing about being an equestrian?
Hailey: My favorite thing about being an equestrian is the opportunities I have had and the amazing people who I have met, and learned from, along the way.

TMM:  What is your least favorite thing about being an equestrian?
Hailey: My least favorite things about being an equestrian are the downfalls -  the hard times, and the blood, sweat and tears that come with the sport.  Although, I see every fall, every injury, and every hard time as a learning experience.  It happens to all of us, no matter the experience level.  At the end of the day, I would not trade this lifestyle for anything in the world.

TMM:  What do you enjoy doing when you’re not with horses?
Hailey: My hobbies include playing with and hanging out with dogs.  I also enjoy swimming, going to the gym, and being outside.

TMM:  Do you or have you volunteer(ed) anywhere equestrian related?
Hailey: I have previously volunteered at The Fork International Horse Trials.

TMM: Do you show, fox hunt, event, etc.?  If so, where?
Hailey: I show, event and foxhunt whenever I get a chance.  I have shown and evented throughout North and South Carolina.  When I foxhunt, I hunt with Mecklenburg Hounds, Inc.

TMM: Where is your favorite place to show, fox hunt, event, etc.?
Hailey: I enjoy anywhere I have the chance to hunt, event or show.  I love competing at Carolina Horse Park.

TMM: Why do you like The Mane Monogram?
Hailey: There are so many things I LOVE about TMM.  I really enjoy supporting small businesses and I love the variety of merchandise that is offered.  Andrea does beautiful work and she is a great person to work with.  My horse, Marley, LOVES the Nickerdoodles!  TMM offers so many things and does an amazing job with any monogram.  I have always been impressed with the quality and effort that is put into each piece, no matter how big or small.  I look forward to becoming a valued contributor to this phenomenal and growing team.

Hailey, you are wise beyond your years!  Welcome to the team!

I have always wanted to be a brand ambassador for this brand. I mean, sure, I am not that influential right now, but I will eventually get there. It is a lot of work to do it, and it is fine. I am really a person who is a bit timid at first, but I will learn as I go along. I will try to be the best ambassador that you will ever see, it is my goal for this year.
