Welcome Esther Minder of Senoia, Georgia, as The Mane Monogram’s second brand ambassador!  Esther is the owner and head trainer at Southern Crown Equestrian Center, LLC.  We are excited that Esther has agreed to represent our brand and are positive she will be fantastic!

Here is a bit about Esther:

TMM: How old are you?
Esther: I will be 34 in August (happy early birthday, Esther!)

TMM:  What got you interested in riding?
Esther:  Growing up my mom had horses and I was always drawn into riding. I enjoyed waking up and going and spending time with my horses before school and then coming home doing homework and then spending the evening with them.

TMM:  How long have you been riding?
Esther: I have been riding since I was 2.

TMM: What discipline(s) do you participate in?
Esther:  Up until I was 18, I rode western. I barrel raced and did trick riding.  When I turned 18, I knew I wanted a career in the horse industry and chose to go to college at Virginia Intermont, which is now Virginia Intermont Equestrian at Emory and Henry. The college only offered English riding. So I went to the “dark side” and never looked back. I took dressage lessons and hunter/jumpers. I graduated in 07 with an equine science degree with a discipline emphasis in hunter/jumpers.

TMM:  Do you own/lease any horses?
Esther:  I own three horses at the moment. I have a large pony, which belongs to my oldest daughter that she received through make a wish due to her CF and having a liver transplant two years ago.  I also co-own with my sister a three-year-old German Warmblood, Cornet Callista, out of Cornet.  I also own the best lesson horse ever; his name is Dublin, a 17 year old irish sport horse. He will do anything from cross rails to 3’6.

TMM:  What is your favorite thing about being an equestrian?
Esther: I do not have one favorite thing about being an equestrian. All of it is amazing and truly a blessing. I love the horses and the kids. Don’t get me wrong, there are hard days when I wonder what am I doing or what have I gotten myself into, but then my students and horses remind me of how wonderful this life truly is.

TMM: What is your least favorite thing about being an equestrian?
Esther:  LOL, if I had to pick my least favorite thing it would be that if it can go wrong, it will go wrong - especially with horses. This, though, allows you to live and learn and keep moving forward in this industry.

TMM:  What do you enjoy when you are not with horses?
Esther:  Just taking care of my children. I love them all. I have a 11-year-old daughter and a 3-year-old daughter. I also spend a lot of the time have my 9-year-old niece.  So, between the horses and kids I do not get out to do much.

TMM: Do you or have you volunteer(ed) anywhere equestrian related?
Esther: I usually try to volunteer for veterans’ organizations along with anything happening in the community. I have plans to launch a veterans program in a year at Southern Crown.

TMM:  Do you show, fox hunt, event, etc.?  If so, where?
Esther: I show in hunter/jumpers.  The farm and I travel all over the east coast of the United states.

TMM:  What is your favorite place to show:
Esther: I really enjoy showing around the Atlanta area. It is local to where I live, but also it has some great facilities to offer. There is Wills Park, Chatt Hills, and Conyers. So overall we can do a lot without having to travel far from home.

TMM: Why do you like The Mane Monogram?
Esther:  I enjoy all the work they do and also the company is run by great people. They work hard and do right by the client which is very important to me.

Welcome to the team, Esther!  We are lucky to have you on board!
