The Mane Monogram would like to welcome Mindy Carpenter to the team as a brand Ambassador! A passionate equestrian who loves dogs? - she is a no brainer for us! :)
Mindy is currently a student at Life University's Chiropractic College and plans to work with with equines and humans to benefit their health and fitness needs. Here is a bit more about her:
TMM: What got you interested in riding?:
Mindy: I've always had a love for horses. When I lived in Florida, there was a huge equestrian farm across the road from me. I would beg my mom every day after school to go and watch while they were giving lessons, which led me to beg for lessons, and I then began working in trade for lessons. So, long story short, I was drawn to riding because I saw the beautiful communication a horse and rider can have.
TMM: How long have you been riding?
Mindy: 26 years
TMM: In what discipline(s) do you participate:
Mindy: Hunter/jumpers, but I lean more toward jumpers because I enjoy it more.
TMM: Are you a professional or amateur?
TMM: Who is your trainer and out of what farm?
Mindy: Joy Lambert & Brianna Modra, Lambert Equestrian
TMM: Do you own/lease any horses?
Mindy: I had a PMU mare who sadly passes almost five years ago. She was my heart horse and I haven't been ready to make that step yet.
TMM: Do you have other pets?
Mindy: Yes! Slider, a 13 year old Whippet mix; Karen, an 8 year old Chihuahua mix; Achilles, a 6 year old Great Dane (AKA Slober Hound); plus foster danes from Rising Above Great Dane Rescue and Funding.
TMM: What is your favorite part about being an equestrian?
Mindy: The compassion and relentlessness between a horse and rider. When you walk out to your barn and hear that whinny from your horses, or when you and your horse have been working on something forever and one day it just clicks - that is what makes me happy.
TMM: What is your least favorite part about being an equestrian?
Mindy: How expensive it can be!
Thank you for joining us Mindy!
